शहर के पुरबिया टोला निवासी अज्ञात वर्मा के घर के बाथरूम की खिड़की में सर्पमित्र डॉ आशीष त्रिपाठी को देर शाम एक छोटे से सर्प के दिखाई देने की सूचना फोन पर दी । तभी डॉ आशीष 5 मिनट में ही मौके पर पहुंचे और बड़ी ही सरलता से उसे 2 मिनट से भी कम समय में ही पकड़ लिया । मिशन स्नेक बाइट डेथ फ्री इंडिया के यूपी कोर्डिनेटर वन्यजीव विशेषज्ञ, सर्पमित्र डॉ आशीष त्रिपाठी ने मौके पर सभी घर के सदस्यों को जानकारी देते हुये बताया कि, आजकल सामान्य रूप से हमारे आपके घरों के आस पास दिखाई देने वाला यह लाइकोडोंन (वोल्फ स्नेक) एक भेड़िया साँप है। जो कि एक बिल्कुल विषहीन प्रजाति का साँप है, जिसके काट लेने से किसी को कोई भी नुकसान या कोई खतरा कभी नही होता है। न ही पीड़ित को किसी इलाज की आवश्यकता होती है बस किसी भी ऐसे विषहीन सर्प के काटे हुये स्थान को ठीक से डिटॉल से ही साफ कर देने से उसका इलाज पूर्ण हो जाता है । डॉ आशीष ने सभी को बताया कि, यह सर्प विषधारी करैत (कोडिया गड़ा सर्प) से कुछ मिलता जुलता है लेकिन ध्यान से देखा जाये तो दौनो में बेहद भिन्नता है इसके चॉकलेटी ब्राउन रंग के शरीर पर बने बैंड (पट्टियां) चौड़े व पीले रंग की व सिर से शुरू होकर थोड़े दूर दूर होते है वहीं भूरे व काले दो रंग की खतरनाक करैत सर्प की प्रजाति में यही बैंड (पट्टियां) सफेद रंग की व सिर से थोड़ा पीछे से शुरू होकर पतली पतली व थोड़ी सी दूर दूर तक दिखाई देती है ।
