देश की स्वतंत्रता की 75 वीं वर्षगांठ पर अमृत महोत्सव आयोजन समिति द्वारा नगर में तिरंगा यात्रा निकालकर अमृत महोत्सव धूमधाम से मनाया गया। गुरुवार को नगर के सरस्वती विद्या मंदिर इंटर कॉलेज से डीजे के साथ विशाल तिरंगा यात्रा निकाली गयी। नगर की तमाम जगहों पर भ्रमण करने के बाद वापस नारायणी मण्डपम पर समाप्त हुई।
गुरुवार को नगर में मनाए गए आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव में युवाओं ने नगर के सरस्वती विद्या मंदिर इंटर कालेज से वंदे मातरम गायन के बाद तिरंगा यात्रा निकाली। तिरंगा यात्रा में तीन सौ मीटर से अधिक लंबे तिरंगे झंडे के साथ मौजूद युवा डीजे और बैंड बाजों पर बज रहे देशभक्ति के गीतों पर थिरकते हुए भारत माता की जय और वंदे मातरम के नारे लगा रहे थे। यह यात्रा बहरे बाली पुलिया, फफूंद चौराहे, संजय नगर होती हुई नगर के नारायणी मण्डपम पहुंची। जहां लोगों ने यात्रा का जोरदार स्वागत करते हुए फूलों की बारिश की। जहां देश की स्वतंत्रता में योगदान करने वाले स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों को श्रद्धाजंलि अर्पित करने के बाद यात्रा समाप्त हुई। तिरंगा यात्रा में आयोजन समिति के जिला प्रभारी श्रीराम , राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ से रवि कांत गुप्ता, जिला प्रचारक दीपक , सुभाष शुक्ल , नरेश सिंह भदौरिया , रामकिशोर, रोहित दुबे, रवि शर्मा ,विहिप के जिला संगठन मंत्री पुष्कर मिश्रा, हरिश्चंद्र , आकाश ,व मयंक,सौरभ दुबे,शरद मिश्रा व नगर के प्रमुख समाज सेवी राघब मिश्रा ,अमित रवि तिवारी, रितेश शुक्ला के साथ साथ जिला भाजपा के जिला उपाध्यक्ष प्रेम कुमार गुप्ता,अवधेश शुक्ला , सरस्वती विद्या मंदिर इंटर कॉलेज के प्रधानाचार्य सहित विद्यालय के समस्त अध्यापक व बच्चों ने तिरंगा यात्रा में प्रतिभाग किया।
